| Name: Leonard “Len” Snart Alias: Captain Cold Height: 6’2 Weight: 196 lbs Hair: White Eyes: Blue Bio: Captain Cold's childhood was a hellish to say the least. His father was a drunken ex-cop who washed out of the police force and would take his troubles out on his wife and children. Eventually, their mother often left to get away from her abusive husband and Len and his sister were left to their father's tender mercies. The only good thing in their childhood was their grandfather. He did what he could to protect them from their father but by the time Len was twelve, their grandfather had died. When he was seventeen, Len left and in doing so abandoned his baby sister Lisa. Being uneducated trailer trash, Leonard didn't have a whole lot of options and he fell into the life of crime readily enough. It was only when he stole his first cold gun that he realized his destiny. He took up the name Captain Cold as a means to thumb his nose at authority figures. Soon enough he'd gathered other criminals from Central and Keystone city under his wing and they became the Rogues. Being a Rogue wasn't always easy especially considering Captain Cold ruled things with an iron glove. They had to abide by a code, rules that put them above the common criminals or else Cold would kick them out. They weren't allowed to kill people unless it was absolutely necessary and women and children were firmly off the menu. No Rogue was allowed to dabble in drugs and above all else, you don't kill a cape. These rules helped to mold the Rogues into something more than just a bunch of costumed criminals. They became strangely enough, a family. It was hard to believe that a group of super villains could become a family but it was the truth. Maybe because his own family life was so awful, that was why Leonard sought to gather people around him that he could share a bond with. Even still they were dysfunctional to say the least. But still, a Rogue is loyal to their own and they helped each other out of some impossible scrapes thanks to the likes of the Flash. Even Lisa eventually came to join the team despite Leonard's vehement protests. She even struck up a relationship with Mirror Master, something he liked even less. But eventually, they got tired of having their asses handed to them. Cold strong-armed the Rogues into volunteering for an experiment called the genome recoder that was supposed to give them all metahuman powers so that they could stand on equal footing with the flash. Unfortunately, things went terribly wrong. Len found himself with ice powers beyond his control, Heat Wave’s body was burned beyond all recognition and Weather Wizard’s powers became so unstable that his very mood affected the weather. Mirror Master found himself trapped within his own mirrors and without a way back into the corporal world and worst of all, Lisa was struck down in the explosion. And from there, the hits kept on coming. Captain Cold hasn’t had the best of years to say the least and it’s left him surly and generally bad tempered because of it.
